Datenschutz
We have created this privacy policy (version 10.10.2020-311220528) to explain to you, in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, what information we collect, how we use data, and what choices you, as a visitor to this website, have.
Unfortunately, it is inherent in the nature of these explanations that they may sound very technical. However, in creating this policy, we have made an effort to describe the most important aspects as simply and clearly as possible.
Automatic Data Storage
When you visit websites nowadays, certain information is automatically generated and stored, and this website is no exception. When you visit our website, our web server (the computer where this website is stored) automatically stores data such as:
- The address (URL) of the page you are visiting.
- Browser and browser version.
- The operating system you are using.
- The address (URL) of the page you visited before (referrer URL).
- The hostname and IP address of the device from which you are accessing the site.
- Date and time.
These data are stored in files (web server log files). Typically, web server log files are retained for two weeks and are then automatically deleted. We do not share this data, but we cannot rule out the possibility that this data may be accessed in the event of unlawful behavior.
Cookies
Our website uses HTTP cookies to store user-specific data. Below, we explain what cookies are and why they are used, so that you can better understand the following privacy policy.
What Are Cookies?
Whenever you browse the internet, you use a web browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Edge. Most websites store small text files in your browser. These files are called cookies.
It cannot be denied that cookies are very useful little helpers. Almost all websites use cookies. Specifically, these are HTTP cookies, as there are also other types of cookies for different applications. HTTP cookies are small files that are stored by our website on your computer. These cookie files are automatically placed in the cookie folder, which is like the "brain" of your browser. A cookie consists of a name and a value, and when defining a cookie, one or more attributes must also be specified.
Cookies store certain user data, such as language or personal page settings. When you visit our site again, your browser sends the "user-related" information back to our site. Thanks to cookies, our website knows who you are and offers you your usual default settings. In some browsers, each cookie has its own file, while in others, such as Firefox, all cookies are stored in a single file.
There are both first-party cookies and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are created directly by our site, while third-party cookies are created by partner websites (e.g., Google Analytics). Each cookie should be evaluated individually, as each cookie stores different data. The expiration time of a cookie can vary from a few minutes to several years. Cookies are not software programs and do not contain viruses, trojans, or other "malware." Cookies also cannot access information on your PC.
A cookie's data might look like this:
- Name: _ga
- Expiration Time: 2 years
- Purpose: Distinguishing website visitors
- Example Value: GA1.2.1326744211.152311220528
A browser should support the following minimum sizes:
- A cookie should be able to contain at least 4096 bytes.
- At least 50 cookies should be able to be stored per domain.
- In total, at least 3000 cookies should be able to be stored.
What Types of Cookies Are There?
The specific types of cookies we use depend on the services used and will be explained in the following sections of the privacy policy. At this point, we would like to briefly discuss the various types of HTTP cookies.
Four types of cookies can be distinguished:
- Essential Cookies: These cookies are necessary to ensure basic website functionality. For example, they are needed when a user adds a product to the shopping cart, continues to browse other pages, and then goes to the checkout. These cookies prevent the shopping cart from being cleared even if the user closes the browser window.
- Functional Cookies: These cookies collect information about user behavior and whether the user receives any error messages. These cookies also measure the loading time and the behavior of the website in different browsers.
- Targeting Cookies: These cookies improve user-friendliness. For example, entered locations, font sizes, or form data are stored.
- Advertising Cookies: These cookies, also known as targeting cookies, are used to deliver individually tailored advertising to the user. This can be very convenient but also annoying.
Usually, when you first visit a website, you are asked which of these types of cookies you want to allow. And of course, this decision is also stored in a cookie.
How Can I Delete Cookies?
You decide whether and how you want to use cookies. Regardless of which service or website the cookies come from, you always have the option to delete cookies, allow them only partially, or disable them. For example, you can block third-party cookies but allow all other cookies.
If you want to find out which cookies have been stored in your browser, change cookie settings, or delete them, you can find this in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Delete, enable, and manage cookies in Chrome.
- Safari: Manage cookies and website data with Safari.
- Firefox: Delete cookies to remove data that websites have stored on your computer.
- Internet Explorer: Delete and manage cookies.
- Microsoft Edge: Delete and manage cookies.
If you generally do not want cookies, you can set your browser to always notify you when a cookie is to be set. This way, you can decide for each individual cookie whether to allow it or not. The procedure is different for each browser. It is best to search for instructions on Google using the search term "delete cookies Chrome" or "disable cookies Chrome" in the case of a Chrome browser, or replace the word "Chrome" with the name of your browser, such as Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
What About My Privacy?
Since 2009, there have been so-called "cookie guidelines." These guidelines state that storing cookies requires the user's consent. Within the EU countries, however, there are still very different reactions to these guidelines. In Germany, the cookie guidelines were not implemented as national law. Instead, the implementation of these guidelines was largely carried out in § 15 para. 3 of the Telemedia Act (TMG).
If you want to learn more about cookies and do not mind technical documentation, we recommend https://tools.ietf.org/html/rf..., the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Request for Comments titled "HTTP State Management Mechanism."
Storage of Personal Data
Personal data that you electronically transmit to us on this website, such as your name, email address, address, or other personal information when submitting a form or comments on the blog, will be used by us only for the specified purpose, securely stored, and not shared with third parties. We use your personal data solely for communicating with visitors who explicitly request contact and for processing the services and products offered on this website. Without your consent, we do not pass on your personal data, but we cannot exclude the possibility that this data may be viewed in the event of unlawful behavior.
If you send us personal data by email, which is outside of this website, we cannot guarantee secure transmission and protection of your data. We recommend that you never transmit confidential data unencrypted via email.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 6, paragraph 1, (a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which allows the processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject. You can revoke this consent at any time – an informal email is sufficient. You can find our contact information in the imprint.
Rights According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
According to the provisions of the GDPR, you have the following rights in principle:
- Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") (Article 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
- Right to notification – notification obligation regarding rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing (Article 19 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Article 21 GDPR)
- Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing – including profiling – which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you (Article 22 GDPR)
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in any way, you can contact the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI).
TLS Encryption with HTTPS
We use HTTPS to transmit data securely over the internet (data protection through technology design Article 25 (1) GDPR). By using Transport Layer Security (TLS), an encryption protocol for secure data transmission over the internet, we can ensure the protection of confidential data. You can recognize the use of this data transmission protection by the small lock symbol in the upper left of the browser and the use of the "https" scheme in our internet address.
Right of withdrawal:
You have the right to withdraw your contractual declaration within 14 days without providing any reasons in written form (e.g., letter, fax, email) or by returning the item – if it is delivered to you before the deadline expires. The withdrawal period begins upon receiving this instruction in written form, but not before the recipient has received the goods (in the case of recurring delivery of similar goods, not before the first partial delivery is received), and also not before we have fulfilled our obligations to provide information according to Article 246 § 2 in conjunction with § 1 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code (EGBGB), as well as our obligations according to § 312e paragraph 1 sentence 1 of the German Civil Code (BGB) in conjunction with Article 246 § 3 of the EGBGB.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send the withdrawal or the item in a timely manner.
The withdrawal should be addressed to:
Book & Film Int. Aps
Haervejen 9
DK-6330 Padborg
Email:info@happycom.dk
Consequences of Withdrawal
In the event of an effective withdrawal, both parties are required to return any received performance and, if applicable, any benefits obtained (e.g., interest). If you cannot return the received performance in whole or in part, or can only return it in a deteriorated condition, you may be obligated to provide us with compensation to the extent necessary. This may not apply when the deterioration of the item is exclusively due to its examination – as would have been possible in a retail store. In all other respects, you can avoid the obligation to provide compensation for the deterioration caused by the item's intended use by not using the item as if it were your property and by refraining from doing anything that could diminish its value.
Items suitable for shipping by parcel are to be returned at our risk. You are responsible for the cost of returning the item if the delivered goods correspond to the ordered ones and if the price of the item to be returned does not exceed 40 euros, or if, in the case of a higher-priced item, you have not provided consideration or a contractually agreed partial payment at the time of withdrawal. In other cases, the return is free of charge for you. Items that cannot be shipped by parcel will be collected from you. Obligations to reimburse payments must be fulfilled within 30 days. The period begins for you with the dispatch of your withdrawal declaration or the item and for us with its receipt.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for:
- The delivery of goods that are made to customer specifications or clearly tailored to personal needs or that, due to their nature, are not suitable for return or may spoil or exceed their expiration date.
- The delivery of audio or video recordings or software, if the delivered data carriers have been unsealed by the consumer.
